Our Story

Founded in 2022, Waypoint Business Advisory is a boutique consulting firm with locations in Southeast Pennsylvania and Raleigh, North Carolina. With over 45 years of combined experience in both industry and consulting, founders Jeff and Ryan have built a strong foundation in strategy and execution. Before launching Waypoint, they worked together in the strategy division at Accenture, one of the world’s largest and most successful consulting firms, where they led strategic engagements across a range of industries and regions, including the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Australia.

After spending over a decade at Accenture, Jeff and Ryan saw a pattern:

Mid-market companies navigate massive transitions — ERPs, mergers, hypergrowth — and then get stuck. Not for lack of strategy but because the organization never fully completed the change. Leadership has already declared 'victory' and is on to the next initiative, but suddenly, operational problems that were overlooked and deprioritized get messy, fast. Over time, this creates compounding messes that lead to bottom-line issues and EBITDA erosion.

Jeff and Ryan sought the freedom to provide clients drowning in these operational issues with a more agile, hands-on support approach. They spent decades in their careers learning the hard lessons of big transformations and discovering what works and doesn't work. Having lived these changes on both sides of the table (as strategy consultants driving change and industry leaders finishing change), they wanted to help companies truly realize the value of these bold moves.

Through Waypoint, that vision became a reality.

Why Us: The Waypoint Way

True to its name, a waypoint serves as a marker - a guidepost, a decision point, a step in a journey. That's what we are for our clients. Wherever you are, we’ll help you chart your next best move—and walk with you until you get there.

Key Tenets of The Waypoint Way:

  1. Operators, Not Just Advisors

Real results aren't achieved by presenting a five-phase framework from afar. We step in, take ownership, and execute in the trenches, alongside your teams

  2. Outcome-Focused Approach

The priority is measurable results. By understanding the big picture and identifying critical risks, we deliver what’s needed to move the business forward, aligned with executive goals

  3. Move Fast, Think Deep, Speak Human

We simplify the complex and cut through the noise — so your team can act with clarity and confidence. Fewer buzzwords and more results

  4. Collaborative Consulting

Success depends on working alongside both external experts and internal teams, blending specialized insights with organizational knowledge. This provides flexibility along with quick responses to emerging needs
